Every night the hub moves into action. Sophisticated information technology processes all the relevant data for the goods collected earlier in the day by the Palletways member depots and sorts them into designated delivery areas within the hub.

Palletways use leading edge and bespoke IT systems across the network to ensure total consignment visibility, from collection to delivery. Consignments are scanned as they move through the system providing instant information about the location and status of a pallet.

High speed internet connections at all member depots allow data relating to every pallet consignment to be sent in real time to two major servers at a data processing centre in Manchester.

Using the website and your unique customer username and password you are able to view full details of your consignment and its location within the network. Scanned images of proof of deliveries are available via the internet the day following delivery.

Utilising a range of key performance indicators we can provide our customers with reports on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis which give a full overview of all consignments sent through the network. This allows you to monitor delivery performance without the need to look at every individual consignment.

A comprehensive performance management tool has been developed and implemented by Palletways. Known as the Captain's Wheel this tool consists of a set of key performance indicators designed to assess performance at depot level to ensure quality control across the Palletways network.
